“Elektrotechnische Werke Fritz Driescher & Söhne GmbH”, one of the leading global suppliers of low and medium voltage switch gears as well as switching devices “made in Germany” invests 2 million euro in a state-of-the-art and fully automated sheet metal production at its company’s site in Moosburg.
DRIESCHER emphasizes a modern and automated future. With this investment DRIESCHER reacts to the requirements of the markets and sets new technological standards for the sheet metal production.
In collaboration with the PULL consultancy of Prof. Dr. Markus Schneider (University of applied sciences, Landshut) the production of lean was already launched last year.
As a manufacturer of customer-specific solutions and products with batch-size 1 it is vitally important for DRIESCHER to realize tailor-made products extremely flexible and with a short processing time.
The trend to ever shorter delivery times is not only a challenge for us rather a opportunity to win the competition for the customers. The new sheet metal production is one of the first steps towards our new production system.”
The fully automated installation is equipped with most modern handling; this enables not only shorter processing times but also higher manufacturing capacities. Due to new sheet metal production DRIESCHER is confronted with a strong national and international increase in the energy sector at an early stage.
Project manager Mr Christian Fragner: “DRIESCHER achieves a quantum leap in a cutting-edge future with this new investment. The new sheet metal production combines various process technologies into one sequence, from bending, punching and stamping to lasing. Not even efficiency but also effectivity will be increased by implementing higher quality standards.
Managing Director Mrs Doris Driescher; “We are very pleased to operate this highly modern machine at our company’s site in Moosburg in spring 2019.”
